This will become a far bigger issue than many of us currently imagine.
A big part of safe driving is quick response times.
Clear thinking is vital for safe driving.
Pot significantly slows response time.
26 of our 50 states now allow an adult to purchase pot for either recreational or medicinal use
Field tests are not currently available for pot, and they certainly don't offer a meaningful answer to whether the driver is impaired with a hair sample taken to a lab. This lab test shows only content, not a meaningful number.
We have a growing problem which is being ignored.....for a while.....125-150 million American adults have some form of access to pot, and to their cars.

Yes, you'll be allowed back into your country. They cannot legally prevent you from coming back into your own country. The reports you are reading, here and other places, seem mixed simply because responders are getting mixed up between coming and going.
Just go. If you're concerned about getting back home, fugettaboutit!!!
I've done extensive traveling, been to over 60 countries, and been to TJ so many times over the last 10 years I can't even count them.

If you are reading about American citizens being prevented from visiting Mexico because they are not carrying a passport, then most likely it is 6-12 months old information.
Currently, they might spend 60 seconds with you, but they'll let you in to their country.

Glad to know you enjoyed yourself. If you want a real treat, attend the PGA Tournament in Scottsdale in early February. The women are dressed to the 9s, wear high heels, short summer dresses, and they are part of what has been called the largest sports event on the planet--200,000 people on the Saturday before the final day.
