Recycled names

I’ve been around a hot minute. I have met lots of dancers. One thing that strikes me at has been the “recycling.” of stage names. Nova, Sassy, Krystal, Rio, Star, Amber and a few other stage names seem like strip club staples. One of the major negatives for me has been when there’s a name you recognize from one club starts popping up at another club. Begin to think one of my favorites has a new employer, so I check out this new club. Almost every time it’s met with disappointment because it’s a new girl who has adopted the name. I almost feel like there should be a “cool down period” before stage name can be used again. I know it’s probably not possible between different clubs. And I’m sure there’s a couple times where a dancer thinks. If I adopt the name of a popular dancer I’m going to draw interest. Now for discussion sake, are there names that you think have been overused?

I think some clubs have rules about multiple dancers using the same name - but years ago I was at the Hip Hugger in Kokomo, Indiana - and if know how that club works, it has pretty loose rules and any freelancer can just show up and work. I think I counted seven “Ambers” on a Saturday night

Mighty Quinn has been around a while. Need to add you on the 20 year tuscler thread. The only time I run into an issue is when I'm trying to find a dancer at a new club beause she asked me to drop by. This week (yeah my new years resolution is already dead lol) I showed up and didn't know her new name, so was trying to describe her to other dancers who were like "no one fitting that description works here" lol. Luckily she walked out from vip and I recognized her ass immediately, but couldn't get her attention because the only name I could think to use was her actual name lol. The dancer I was sitting with was nice enough to go find her in the dressing room because it was close to closing time, but trailed her to the table just to make sure I hadn't picked the wrong ass and we actually knew each other...

Every stripper ever has been and still is named “Stormy”. Thread Closed.

I have amassed many dancer names in my Contacts over time. Occasionally I’ll be connected in my car and scrolling thru contacts which appear on a larger screen and the number of single name stripper names like Diamond is entertaining. I typically exchange numbers with the intent to reconnect but don’t end up returning to the same cities with enough frequency to do so.

Some clubs have rules on names, others don't. There's a few clubs around here were there are two girls with the same name that usually just work different days or shifts. You could go in two days in a row and find two different girls both named Khloe, or if you're there at shift change you can see two different ones within an hour or two. There's also some names that seem to have been consistent staples at every club in town for years, like the jewel names. And others thankfully have faded away, like Navaeh (Heaven backwards). And a 3rd set that seems to be popular for a while then go away then come back, like the car names. I feel like its the same with real names. There's long term trends and then various brief fads and some cyclical names that tend to align to generations.

What I've noticed happening in practice is a girl has to be employed at a club for a while to claim a name, and usually they won't allow a dancer to use the same name as someone else actively dancing. It seems like the DJs manage this, and as such there sometimes will be Day and Night girls using the same name. A lot of girls who bounce around have their first and second choice names. And I've noticed more creativity in recent years. Much less "popular girl names" and much more "things you could name your puppy"

I suppose there are limits imposed by the club? Names like Charles Manson, Wuornos Surprise, Herpes, Dick Slicer, and `!-*# are probably weeded out.

Why don't any strippers use the name "Tiffany"?

What’s funnier yet IMO, is when the dancers “Real Name” sounds more like a Stripper Name, then her Stage Name. Good Lord what were the parents/ or mother thinking???lol

Drew -- Way back in the day, at Industrial Strip in Hammond Indiana, there was a waitress named Stormy. She eventually became a dancer and took the stage name Ivy. But yes, her name really was and always will be Stormy!

Destiny, Jasmine, Raven, Vixen, Electra (although that one seems to have gone away), and of course Mercedes. There's a bunch of them out there. I always thought "Viagra" would be a good stripper name -- at least it's got truth in advertising -- but apparently I'm the only one.
