Club ripping off customers.

I read on another site that a customer went there last Wednesday night at 10:30PM. He paid $40 to park and a $20 cover charge. Once he got in the found the place dead and only 1 stripper in the whole club. I would have been pissed and demanded a refund. Unfortunately I have seen a lot more of this lately. Clubs and dancers asking higher prices because they are desperate and don't have a lot of competition.

$40 to park? Do they detail your car while you’re inside for that price?

This was posted to the Diamond Club ATL club forum. All the club discussion posts show up in the Front Room forum.

wallanon club discussion posts don't show up in the front room forum, at least for me. They do show up if I go to the generic "Group Discussions" link which includes everything from all the various discussion boards (Front Room,Verified, VIP, Club Specific, Politics, TJ). I don't think I have ever, or would ever, pay $60 to park and walk through the front door of a club. I had gone to a club (Paper Moon) while visiting family in Virginia last Nov or Dec and when I got to the door they wanted a "nonrefundable deposit" (don't remember exact amount but it was around $100-150) that could be applied to either a VIP dance or bottle service before you could go in. The bouncer said it was because they were operating at a very limjted capacity and they couldn't afford to let people in that didn't have enough money to spend. I laughed at the guy and turned around and left. Hopefully as more competition reopens people will refuse to pay these ridiculous fees and things can get back to normal. Unfortunately once prices go up for whatever reason at a club they rarely go back down.

This is what killed the players club in Baltimore. They started losing customers and responded by increasing the house cuts and removing the incentive for the girls to hustle. I.e., they went from a $100 stripper fee to work, girls keep all dance tips to a $20 to girl $10 to house split on dances, to eventually 50/50. Prices on VIP went from $40 room plus $40 song to $60/60. The prices made the decreasing customer volume worsen, so the club increased prices again. The girls lost incentive to work and incentive to hustle. It circled the drain for a few years until it was unsustainable and then Covid hit. Gone was a legendary club. It might hurt in the beginning, but a long term way of thinking is to reduce or drop house fees altogether for a short period of time. Sustain on drink sales, tip outs and cover charges. Get the customers and the girls back, then restore fees. Play the long game.

The cover charges get even worse on more peak days like Friday and Saturday. I asked once and it was 50 to park and 20 to go in. I turned my car right around and went home. Too ridiculous

===> "Gone was a legendary club." Fuck, I didn't realize that Player's Club/Wagon Wheel was gone. That sucks. It was my favorite club in B'more once upon a time. Anyway thanks for the update.

This is not uncommon with party black strip-clubs that feel/act more like pseudo-nightclubs and have this type of pricing - often times these are custies that are more into the party than strip-clubs and treat the strip-club like a nightclub (buying overpriced bottles; etc) and thus pay these prices as if they were hitting an exclusive nightclub - I always hit Club Blaze on my ATL trips but of the half-dozen+ visits I've done I've never been there at night b/c of the high parking and cover fees; and these type clubs often feel more like nightclubs at night.

this club always had outrageous pricing on the weekends. As Papi stated, it's a party spot because it's one of the few black clubs ITP.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of clubs jack up prices of things to the customers and the dancers when they lose biz in the hopes of recouping their losses. Instead it makes girls be like "WTF?? Bitch my cut and house fee is what?????" and customers are like "what the fuck why is the cover charge higher now and the drink prices are higher than I recall???????". So yeah it drives girls with any brain cells at all away to greener pastures unless ya like being pimped out by ur club. I say that because once girls are keeping like less than 60% of the money they make, at that point why the fuck even strip at this particular club? LOL F THAT. It drives out customers too. I feel like a lot of the smarter strippers also happen to be the better looking ones??? IMO So yee customers are like prices r higher the girls r awful anymore dafuq i'm out.

I really feel like clubs should at least not charge customers to enter the door if there's only like 1 or 2 girls in the club at the time. And maybe warn the customer too. But yeah anyway like this whole approach of "hey biz is dead let's jack up prices to recoup our munniez" is fucking retarded. I do agree clubs should drop cover charges or cut them, maybe offer more drink specials or some shit to get dudes back in the door and get the biz back. And ya don't fuck over the god damn girls that are the only reason your fucking club has customers and money by charging us more than ever before. I've also been seeing that clubs seem to enjoy jacking up private room charges and shit without more money going to the girls. Or they tack on fees that never used to exist. Like say a club used to have $20 dances out on the floor. Then they don't allow floor dances plus require a dude to pay $20 to enter lapdance area every single time but the dances are still only $20 a song to the girl. I feel like this approach just fucks the dancers and the customers like fuck all that shit.
